Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee large-scale multifamily construction projects in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate is highly organized and hands-on, capable of navigating fast-paced development environments and addressing issues promptly to keep projects moving.

Responsibilities include managing day-to-day activities, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors, tracking schedules and budgets, and ensuring compliance with plans and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• 4+ years of construction/project management experience, preferably with a developer, general contractor, or construction management firm.
• Experience managing ground-up construction or major renovations for multifamily construction or commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods, project scheduling, estimating, contracts, and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to manage general contractors and multiple project stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Project or similar scheduling software.
• Experience with construction/project management platforms such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings.
• Ability to travel to active construction sites throughout the Philadelphia region.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day construction activities for assigned development projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Serve as the owner's primary point of contact with the general contractor and construction team.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality, safety, and overall progress.
• Review construction progress against approved plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Conduct regular site visits and construction meetings to assess progress and identify potential issues.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve design and construction issues.
• Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, payment applications, punch lists, and other project documentation.
• Review and evaluate contractor change-order requests and provide recommendations to senior management.
• Identify potential schedule delays, cost overruns, and construction risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure construction work is performed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, and company standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, turnover, and project closeout.
