Job summary

The Axel Group in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development of multifamily residential projects, including high-rise, mid-rise, low-rise and affordable housing.

In this in-person role you will coordinate owners' interests, manage budgets and schedules, lead design and construction teams, and ensure regulatory compliance to deliver quality, on-time projects with long-term growth potential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing multifamily real estate development or construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience as an Owner's Representative, Developer, or with a Construction Management firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's primary point of contact for projects.
• Oversee all phases of development: pre-construction, design coordination, permitting, procurement, construction, and final turnover.
• Represent ownership interests while managing general contractors, architects, engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, risk mitigation, and quality control.
• Lead project meetings, oversee documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Review and approve construction documents, contracts, change orders, and pay applications.
• Provide strategic insights to improve project delivery, cost-efficiency, and construction quality.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting authorities, and affordable housing regulations.
