Job summary

DAHLIN Architecture | Planning | Interiors is seeking a Director of Client Development for Northern California to act as market ambassador for the multifamily sector. The role blends high-level business development with architectural credibility, guiding planning, entitlement, and project delivery while expanding the firm’s NC client base.

Working with leadership, marketing, and practice leaders, you will build market strategies, identify opportunities, lead pursuits, and manage relationships

Qualifications

• 15+ years of architecture experience with multifamily focus.
• 10+ years in business development.
• Established network in Northern California.
• California development/regulatory knowledge.
• Authorized to work in the US; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Northern California business development strategy aligned with firm growth.
• Leverage an established network to generate client relationships and opportunities.
• Lead multifamily housing pursuits and maintain executive relationships.
• Partner with Marketing and technical teams to position DAHLIN competitively.
• Mentor team members in business development and client engagement.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
