Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to provide technical oversight for reliability, availability, performance, and resilience across a multi-cloud environment in support of a critical mission for USAF systems.

The role emphasizes driving automation, IaC, enterprise observability, and incident response, with a strong focus on DevSecOps integration and secure CI/CD pipelines. US citizenship and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience, or Master's with 10+ years of experience.
Secret clearance required to start and maintain employment.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes architecture.
Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks and container security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting, performance optimization and platform reliability engineering skills.
US citizenship required.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT Level 2).

Responsibilities

Provide reliability engineering support across a multi-cloud environment to ensure availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of mission-critical services.
Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to reduce manual operations and standardize deployments.
Establish enterprise observability and performance management including monitoring, logging, tracing, SLOs, dashboards, alerting, and capacity planning.
Lead incident response and continuous improvement with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Integrate SRE practices with DevSecOps and cybersecurity within CI/CD pipelines and cloud modernization activities.
