Job summary

JCS Solutions is seeking a Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to advance DoD cloud modernization in Albuquerque, NM. You will architect, design, and deploy secure hybrid cloud solutions across Azure and AWS, leading efforts from concept to production while mentoring junior engineers.

You will work with cybersecurity and engineering teams to ensure DoD compliance, implement IaC, and drive automation and governance across the multi-cloud environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field with 12+ years' experience.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, or equivalent).
• Current Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience architecting and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and deploy secure hybrid cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Design enterprise cloud architectures supporting mission-critical DoD systems and applications.
• Lead technical implementation of cloud modernization initiatives from concept to production.
• Develop green-field cloud environments with security, scalability, resilience, and automation.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
• Engineer cloud networking integrating on-premises with Azure and AWS.
• Deploy cloud-native security, monitoring, logging, backup, and DR solutions.
• Implement automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, Python, or similar.
• Collaborate to ensure compliance with DoD security requirements and accreditation.
• Support cloud roadmaps and technical strategies to advance adoption.
• Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to cloud engineering team.
