Job summary

G-III Apparel Group in New York City is seeking a highly skilled Designer to lead the Global Licensing design team, overseeing external partners across accessories, children's apparel, footwear, home, and more. You will manage upwards of 20 collections annually, ensuring brand identity and commercial objectives are met.

The ideal candidate translates brand philosophies into diverse fashion categories, with strong communication, time management, and cross-category expertise.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional design experience within the fashion industry.
• Experience working across multiple fashion or lifestyle product categories preferred.
• Strong aesthetic sensibilities, high taste level, and knowledge of fashion history.
• Understanding of fabrications, color, printing techniques, and seasonal product development.
• Portfolio or CV/Resume required for initial consideration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal and external teams to communicate updated brand DNA and seasonal concepts.
• Oversee the development of licensed products across categories, ensuring alignment with brand identity.
• Review and evaluate concepts, sketches, prototypes, and submissions from external design teams.
• Provide clear design feedback, manage approvals and revisions, and document the process.
• Develop seasonal inspiration based on brand identity, trends, and category knowledge.
• Translate brand aesthetics into cohesive product collections across categories.
• Manage multiple collections and development timelines to meet deadlines.
