Job summary

Paramount Pictures in New York is seeking a Designer for Global Softlines to lead day-to-day creative development and approvals across licensees. You will create original graphics, product concepts, and layouts, ensuring brand-right, commercially relevant outcomes that align with franchise strategies and approved assets.

The role requires a design degree, 3+ years in softlines/licensing, and a strong portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design field
• 3+ years in softlines design or licensing
• Solid portfolio of branded apparel, graphics, or related product design
• Experience reviewing creative submissions or licensing environment preferred
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of apparel construction and softlines production

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day creative development and approvals across assigned softlines categories and licensees
• Review product submissions and provide clear, actionable feedback
• Create original graphics, product concepts, layouts, patterns, and design solutions
• Ensure product executions reflect franchise strategies and brand guidelines
• Partner with licensees to address creative issues and improve execution
• Support retailer and franchise initiatives through mockups and presentations
• Conduct trend research and competitive analyses relevant to categories
• Collaborate with Brand, Retail, Sales, Marketing and Global Creative Group
• Manage assets, samples, submissions and approvals across projects
• Execute hands-on design work including apparel graphics, layouts, prints, trims, and packaging
• Guide licensees on materials, fabrication, and construction
• Maintain consistency and quality across categories and partners
• Conduct regular retail trend research to identify opportunities
• Balance multiple projects and meet review timelines
• Escalate opportunities to softlines leadership when needed
