Job summary

Modern IT in La Verne, CA, seeks a Senior MSP Systems Engineer to lead reactive operations, triage incidents, and mentor the ROC team. You will partner with AI architects to turn service patterns into automation, documentation, and proactive improvements, working both remotely and on-site in PST-aligned hours.

The role demands deep technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoints, networking, identity; a track record of resolving complex incidents; and a passion for transforming frontline IT

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technical support, managed services, or a similar client-facing IT environment.

Responsibilities

• Own reactive support incidents from intake through resolution, remotely or on-site.
• Provide technical leadership across Microsoft 365, endpoints, networking, identity, and client environments.
• Lead client communication during incidents with proactive updates and confidence.
• Identify recurring issues and opportunities for automation, documentation, or permanent fixes.
• Create and improve knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain PSA data in ConnectWise with accurate notes and time entries.
• Mentor teammates and reduce escalations to keep service calm and scalable.
• Collaborate with AI architects to apply AI-driven improvements to service delivery.
