Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Senior Medical Science Liaison – Rheumatology to be based in a multi‑territory area including the New York/New England region. The role focuses on scientific engagement, KOL relationships, and medical education across rheumatology indications.

The Senior MSL will partner with Medical Affairs and R&D, traveling up to 70% to advance scientific exchange, gather insights, and support investigator-initiated studies while leveraging AI tools

Qualifications

• Doctorate level degree or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of relevant MSL experience.
• Strong scientific/therapeutic expertise with data analysis.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% within territory.
• Must hold a valid US Driver’s License (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a scientific engagement plan for the territory.
• Engage in high-quality two-way scientific exchange with KOLs and HCPs.
• Cultivate relationships with community and academic HCPs/KOLs.
• Develop strategic engagement approaches using insights and tools.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance decision making, efficiency and outcomes.
• Identify provider educational needs and address with balanced data.
• Deliver scientific data-tailored dialogue to HCPs across audiences.
• Provide support for investigators and internal partners for studies.
• Respond to unsolicited inquiries with objective, evidence-based information.
• Ensure alignment with Medical Affairs strategy and compliance.
