Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to join the US Medical team in the Northeast region. This field-based, customer-facing role focuses on engaging KOLs and HCPs, interpreting scientific data, and advancing Takeda's medical strategy to improve patient outcomes.

The MSL will build expert networks, support Takeda-sponsored research, and ensure compliant, accurate dissemination of information while traveling up to 70% of the time.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred; Master’s degree in health sciences minimum.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities comprise ≥80% of responsibilities.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of Takeda disease areas and products; interpret complex data for KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, fair-balanced manner.
• Support Takeda-sponsored research and assist with investigator-initiated studies.
• Collect, interpret, and internally communicate medical insights to inform medical strategies.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships between KOLs/HCPs and Takeda US Medical.
• Participate in medical conferences and communicate insights gained from attendance.
• Respond to unsolicited HCP medical information inquiries within defined timelines and quality standards.
• Complete CRM entries and other administrative responsibilities accurately and timely.
