Job summary

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to be field-based in the US, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region.

You will analyze and translate complex scientific data, build external expert networks, and connect customers with Takeda to advance medical strategy and patient outcomes. Reporting to the Director, MSL, you will travel up to 70% and collaborate with cross-functional teams while ensuring compliant, fair-balanced information.

Qualifications

Doctoral degree in life/health sciences preferred; Master’s in health sciences required.
Minimum of 2 years post-doctorate field-based MSL experience in pharma.
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational and collaborative skills.
Activities must comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

Externally-focused KOL/HCP activities account for ≥80% of duties.
Build and maintain relationships with KOLs/HCPs per territory plans and medical strategy.
Analyze and convey complex scientific information to KOLs/HCPs in a compliant, balanced manner.
Support Takeda-sponsored research and facilitate investigator-initiated studies.
Document customer activity and insights in CRM and complete administrative tasks on time.
