Job summary

AbbVie seeks a field-based Senior MSL to strategically support research and medical objectives across a defined geography. Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, APP) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for a Senior MSL; 0-2 years for an MSL.
• Must be able to travel up to 75% within territory.
• Ability to learn and convey clinical and non-clinical information effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers in assigned areas to access current medical information.
• Present scientific information and education relative to disease state and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals across the product lifecycle.
• Support research initiatives and investigator meetings, external expert identification, and collaboration management.
• Prepares marketplace in new therapeutic areas of interest, creating awareness and relationships for AbbVie in the Medical community.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and serve as a scientific resource to commercial partners as appropriate.
• Respond to unsolicited medical questions and provide ongoing training to medical affairs and field personnel.
