Job summary

AbbVie seeks a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Senior MSL to strategically support research and business objectives in a defined geography. You will be the primary AbbVie science communicator to healthcare professionals, build relationships with thought leaders, and provide medical and scientific support across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include developing external collaborations, presenting disease states, and training internal teams while ensuring compliance and budget

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required in a relevant discipline; doctorate preferred.
• Senior MSL typically 3+ years of relevant experience; MSL 0–2 years.
• Ability to translate territory needs into business and clinical objectives.

Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academics, and researchers.
• Present disease-state and therapeutic information across the lifecycle.
• Support research initiatives, investigator meetings, and external collaborations.
• Prepare the marketplace in new therapeutic areas by building awareness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and field teams.
• Address unsolicited medical questions and provide clinical information.
