Job summary

AbbVie seeks a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to strategically support research and business objectives across assigned therapeutic areas in a designated geography. You will be the primary AbbVie science communicator with healthcare professionals and cultivate professional relationships to deliver comprehensive medical and scientific support.

Qualifications

Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field (PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, or APP).
MSL experience or direct MSL experience strongly preferred.
Ability to translate territory needs into scientific support for healthcare professionals.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Identify and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers in assigned therapeutic areas.
Present scientific information to healthcare professionals across the product lifecycle.
Support research initiatives with AbbVie R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs.
Create awareness and build relationships with the medical community in the territory.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute account plans.
