Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL/Senior MSL) to strategically support research and business objectives across a designated therapeutic area and geography. You will serve as AbbVie's scientific conduit to healthcare professionals and establish strong professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (e.g., PharmD, MD/DO, PhD, APP).
• Doctorate strongly preferred in health science or clinical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with thought leaders, centers and researchers in assigned areas.
• Present scientific information about disease states and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals.
• Support and coordinate research initiatives with AbbVie R&D, Clinical Operations and Medical Affairs.
• Prepare market awareness in new therapeutic areas and establish AbbVie presence in the medical community.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute account plans that support business objectives.
• Answer unsolicited medical questions and provide ongoing scientific training to internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and manage expenses within budget.
