Job summary

AbbVie seeks a field-based MSL/Senior MSL I to support immunology initiatives across a defined geography. Ideal candidates hold an advanced degree and have 2–3 years of MSL experience or 0–2 years for MSL, with willingness to travel up to 75% and reside in Seattle or Portland.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (PharmD/MD/DO/PhD or APP).
• Senior MSL I: 2–3 years of relevant experience; typically 3 years of direct MSL experience.
• MSL: 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to reside in assigned territory – Seattle or Portland preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong written/verbal communication.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and teaching skills; independent and team work.
• Compliance with HCIR credentialing requirements (background checks, etc).

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers in assigned areas of therapeutic interest.
• Present scientific information and education relative to disease state, therapeutic landscape, and AbbVie products to healthcare professionals.
• Support research initiatives as requested by AbbVie R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs.
• Prepares marketplace in new therapeutic areas of interest, including creating awareness and relationships for AbbVie.
• Creates, maintains, and collaborates in relationships with internal cross-functional partnerships and supports account plans.
• Serve as a medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers through answering unsolicited medical questions.
• Support and provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales and other internal personnel.
• Responsible for compliance with policies and maintaining annual expenses within budget.
