AbbVie Inc. is seeking a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to strategically support research and business objectives across designated therapeutic areas in the Portland/Seattle region.

You will communicate AbbVie science to healthcare professionals and build professional relationships with researchers and academic centers. The role requires advanced degrees and several years of MSL experience, with up to 75% travel.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree required (Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, APP) in a relevant scientific discipline. Doctorate strongly preferred.
• Senior MSL I: 2+ years of relevant experience; typically 3 years direct MSL experience
• MSL: 0–2 years of relevant experience
• Ability to reside in assigned territory – Seattle or Portland preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet HCIR credentialing requirements to enter facilities and organizations in the territory
• Ability to learn and convey clinical and non-clinical information effectively
• Engage audience and help them understand and retain information

Responsabilités

• Identify and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers in assigned areas
• Present scientific information and education to healthcare professionals across the product lifecycle
• Support research initiatives with AbbVie R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs; coordinate investigator meetings
• Prepare marketplace in new therapeutic areas of interest and build AbbVie presence in the medical community
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute account plans; support commercial activities as a scientific resource
• Serve as a medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers and address unsolicited questions
• Provide ongoing training to medical affairs, field sales, and other personnel
• Utilize strategic segmentation and optimize resource utilization
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and manage expenses within budget
