Job summary

Sobi North America seeks an experienced Medical Science Liaison to cover the Northern California territory, with substantial travel to support hematology/oncology and rare-disease programs. The role focuses on scientific exchange with healthcare professionals, rigorous communication, and cross-functional collaboration within a regulated biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• PhD/MD/PharmD etc. required; advanced health-related degree considered with industry/clinical experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of MSL experience in hematology/oncology and rare disease.
• Familiarity with the Northern California medical/scientific community and key institutions.
• Ability to communicate scientific information clearly and address stakeholder needs.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to shape strategy and narrative.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and influence cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary field-based contact for Sobi Medical Affairs in the Northern California territory.
• Engage with key thought leaders and HCPs to exchange scientific information accurately and fairly.
• Report field intelligence including competitive insights and treatment landscapes.
• Support clinical development and operations through site recommendations and initiation visits.
• Lead or participate in advisory boards at local, regional, and national levels.
• Deliver internal and external training on preclinical science, clinical data, and outcomes.
• Represent Sobi at medical conferences and provide session summaries.
• Maintain current knowledge of studies, compounds, and disease states to support discussion with hematology/oncology thought leaders.
