Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Cell Therapy team in the Pennsylvania territory, covering Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. You will act as the local medical voice for cell therapy and multiple myeloma, building a regional medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes.

The role requires an advanced scientific degree and 5+ years in hematology/oncology, with at least 2 years in field medical.

Qualifications

5+ years in hematology/oncology with at least 2 years in field medical or similar engagement role.
Experience supporting development and/or launch of a new pharmaceutical product in the U.S.
Comfort working in a matrixed Medical Affairs, Commercial and R&D environment.
Ability to travel 40-60% domestically and outside office locations as needed.
Proven ability to distill complex data into clear scientific narratives.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scientific relationships with hematology/cell therapy thought leaders and HCPs in assigned territory.
Engage in scientific exchanges with multidisciplinary teams including hematologists, cell therapy staff and nurses.
Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific and product information per policy.
Act as a trusted scientific advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
Educate providers on disease state, CAR-T, and manufacturing processes within compliance guidelines.
Support the implementation of cell therapy infusions and navigate complex stakeholder groups.
