Job summary

AstraZeneca GmbH is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison in the Cell Therapy space to act as the local medical voice for cell therapies and multiple myeloma in the NY/North Jersey area. You will build a local medical strategy to improve patient care and outcomes within your territory.

The role requires extensive scientific expertise, strong engagement with external experts, and the ability to collaborate with Medical Affairs, Commercial, and R&D across a matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree in a health science field.
• 5+ years in hematology/oncology with at least 2 years in field medical roles; cell therapy/multiple myeloma preference.
• Ability to distill complex scientific information into key messages for varied stakeholders.
• Experience supporting development/launch of a pharmaceutical product in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scientific relationships with hematology/cell therapy thought leaders in NY/North Jersey.
• Engage in scientific exchanges with hematology/oncology teams and cell therapy staff.
• Respond to unsolicited requests for scientific/product information per policy.
• Establish as a trusted scientific advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
• Educate providers on disease state, CAR-T mechanism, cell therapy processes, and data interpretation.
