MGP Ingredients is seeking a skilled MRO Procurement Lead to manage the purchasing, inventory, and storeroom functions for maintenance operations in our Midwest facilities. You will establish controls, drive supplier performance, and implement cost-saving strategies to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field preferred.
• Five years of progressive experience in MRO procurement, industrial purchasing or storeroom operations with leadership responsibility.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred and familiarity with ERP/CMMS systems.
• Strong sourcing, supplier management and analytical skills.
• Ability to analyze spend, inventory and performance data and translate findings into action.

Responsabilités

• Lead the purchasing of indirect MRO materials, parts, equipment, repairs, and services within delegated authority and policy.
• Develop sourcing strategies; solicit and evaluate quotations; negotiate terms; and select suppliers based on value, quality, service and risk.
• Review requisitions and purchase orders for accuracy and contract requirements; ensure proper sourcing practices.
• Coordinate urgent purchases and establish contingency sources to minimize disruption.
• Establish inventory controls, storeroom processes, and supplier performance metrics.
• Monitor supplier performance for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and compliance; address deficiencies.
• Partner with ERP/CMMS teams, procurement, safety, finance and operations to ensure compliance and optimal spend.
• Lead and develop assigned employees; cross-train team members for purchasing, receiving, inventory, and storeroom activities.
