Job summary

The MRI Technologist at UNC Health Nash produces diagnostic MRI scans under the clinical direction of a Radiologist, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety. This onsite role requires ARRT MRI credentialing and 5+ years of MRI experience.

You will contribute to departmental operations, maintain equipment, and support staff and students with education and safe practices in a fast-paced radiology setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school or program of Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT registration with up-to-date continuing education credits.
• Advanced registration in MRI with ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Produces diagnostic MRI scans under Radiologist direction.
• Ensures patient safety, image quality, and sterile techniques.
• Maintains accurate documentation in RIS and PACS; submits QA-ed images.
• Verifies patient identity and pregnancy status prior to imaging.
• Supports staff and students with education and safety practices.
