Job summary

UNC Health is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist II to perform complex MR procedures and collaborate with radiology teams to obtain high‑quality diagnostic images. The role focuses on advanced protocols, cardiac MR capabilities, and maintaining patient safety throughout imaging exams.

We require MR registry, accredited Radiologic Science education, and at least two years of MRI experience. The position is onsite at UNC Medical Center with weekend shifts and a competitive hourly rate,

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Science program with an advanced MR registry.
• Two years MRI tech experience preferred.
• Maintain MR safety standards and patient care.
• Knowledge of MR physics and image optimization.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject‑matter expert with advanced MR protocols and procedures.
• Coordinate MR protocol development and monitor protocol performance.
• Assist radiologists in complex MR imaging and safety considerations.
• Adjust imaging parameters for cardiac MR and other advanced exams.
• Ensure patient readiness and monitor devices during MR procedures.
• Oversight of contrast administration and post‑processing of images.
• Collaborate with care teams to optimize imaging workflows.
