Job summary

Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC seeks an MRI Technologist to perform high-field strength MR procedures, screen for MR safety, and support cardiology imaging with emphasis on quality imaging and protocol development.

Responsibilities include assistive procedures, patient and chart reviews, and collaboration with physicians, technologists, and researchers to advance imaging techniques across the health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• AR RT MR certification required within 18 months of employment; two years MR experience for Level II; four years MR experience for Level III.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedures.
• Assist cardiologist with MR procedures and perform high-quality cardiac MRI scans.
• Prepare preliminary reports with providers and manage MR protocols.
• Operate power injectors and manage contrast administration.
• Educate and train student technologists and new staff.
