Job summary

UNC Health Care System is seeking an MRI Technologist II in Chapel Hill to perform complex MR procedures. The role supports radiology and cardiology teams, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. Weekend schedule with 36 hours per week, onsite at UNC Medical Center.

The position requires an accredited Radiologic Science program with MR registry, ARRT MR certification, and two years of MRI experience. Advanced MR certification and ongoing CE are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years MRI technologist experience.
• Advanced MR certification.
• ARRT MR registration with ongoing CE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologists with complex MR imaging procedures.
• Ensure safety and optimal image quality across protocol set.
• Coordinate with care team and vendors for patient needs and equipment.
• Document findings and contribute to exam prep and post-processing.
• Monitor and adjust MR parameters for cardiac and other exams.
• Support anesthesia and pediatric sedation planning and care.
