Job summary

At-Bay is seeking an Underwriter/Sr. Underwriter, Professional Liability in a hybrid NYC setting. You will build a new MPL-focused book, influence GTM strategy, and engage brokers and clients to optimize pricing, coverage and risk strategies.

You will review complex Professional Liability risks, develop pricing, and maintain strong broker relationships while collaborating with cyber analytics, product, and marketing teams to deliver superior underwriting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on MPL/professional liability underwriting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting and insurance theories.
• Strong technology affinity and ability to work with analytics software.
• Excellent teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute marketing plans to increase market share with preferred brokers and achieve new business and retention goals.
• Manage and grow At-Bay’s core broker base and GWP; ensure brokers receive world-class service.
• Propose and negotiate price, coverage, and terms for policies; identify account rounding opportunities.
• Solicit and analyze risk within At-Bay's guidelines and document properly; service renewals and new business.
• Collaborate with cyber analytics, product, marketing and other teams to offer best At-Bay value to brokers.
• Work with technology and data teams to create tools to enhance underwriting processes.
