Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Product Development Senior Engineer for the Motors team at our Mount Pleasant, WI site. You will lead global motor development across technologies, work with cross-functional teams, and drive validation, design review, and production implementation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in product development, and strong English communication. Master’s degree and Six Sigma Black Belt are preferred; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Aeronautics or Automobile Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of product development experience with multiple projects in parallel.
• Master’s degree and Six Sigma Black Belt certification are preferred.
• Experience with motors or rotative electromechanical components is ideal.
• Experience selecting and applying materials for component design.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional communication across teams.
• Experience launching products and working in matrix environments.
• Knowledge of APQP, FEM/FEA/CFD/CAD and related simulation review processes.
• Strong English communication skills and proactive project execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop Motors for Whirlpool appliances with a focus on Laundry.
• Lead technical developments with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Define validation plans and assess technical maturity at the component level.
• Drive New Product Development and Cost & Quality projects for Laundry Powertrain.
• Coordinate large cross-functional teams and oversee supplier technical reviews.
• Solve complex problems using data analysis and Six Sigma/OPEx methods.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently from concept to production.
