Barnard Construction Company, Inc., based in Bozeman, Montana, is seeking an experienced Motor Grader-Blade Operator to run motor graders on civil projects in Columbus, NM. Duties include rough and finish grading, leveling, and meeting precise grade specs.

This role requires 5+ years of construction experience and 2+ years operating a motor grader, with strict adherence to safety policies and the ability to handle long, irregular hours in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Operate a Motor Grader/Blade in precise passes to level subgrades.
• Use laser systems and reference grade stakes to achieve exact elevations and drainage.
• Set and regulate blade depth, angle, and tilt.
• Minimum five (5) years construction experience.
• Minimum two (2) years operating a Motor Grader/Blade.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
• Ability to correctly rig and hoist material.
• Ability to tolerate heights without fear.
• Ability to maintain balance.
• Able to enter the cab of a vehicle or equipment that is 3 feet or more off the ground.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and work in extreme weather conditions.
• Able to work long, irregular hours, six to seven days per week, 50 to 70 hours per week.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
