Job summary

Barnard Construction is seeking an experienced Motor Grader/Blade Operator to run motor graders on civil projects in Columbus, NM. You will perform rough and finish grading, set blade depth, and ensure exact grade and slope specifications.

Requirements include a minimum five years in construction and at least two years operating a motor grader. You must pass a pre-employment drug screen and comply with safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a motor grader/blade in heavy civil construction to level, shape and smooth subgrades.
• Minimum five (5) years construction experience.
• Minimum two (2) years operating a Motor Grader/Blade.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate motor grader to level, shape and smooth subgrades.
• Use laser systems and reference stakes to achieve exact elevations and drainage.
• Set blade depth, angle, and tilt.
• Work long hours, six to seven days per week, 50–70 hours per week.
• Maintain equipment and follow on-site management instructions.
