Job summary

ABB in the United States is advancing the next generation of electric motor products. This onsite role leads prototype development from concept to completion, ensuring quality and timing while aligning design intent with production feasibility.

You will apply advanced motor design principles, provide technical leadership across R&D and cross‑functional teams, and help drive cost, efficiency and scalability improvements in ABB’s industrial motor portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience with electric motors.
• Advanced design methods (FEA) experience preferred.
• Candidates must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in technology and product development initiatives for next‑gen electric motor products.
• Drive prototype development from concept through completion, ensuring quality and timeline targets.
• Bridge design intent with production feasibility to improve cost, efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with R&D and cross‑functional teams to resolve design challenges and drive solutions.
