Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 10 years of motor experience.
• Knowledge of electric motor technologies and design methodologies (FEA).
• Experience with UL, CSA, CE, IEEE, IEC, NEMA regulatory compliance.
• Master’s or PhD in Engineering and CAD tools preferred.
• Applicants must have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Contribute significantly to technology and product development; perform cost-benefit analyses to optimize designs.
• Create electrical designs for industrial motors in accordance with ABB specifications and industry standards.
• Leverage motor design expertise to contribute innovative ideas; lead projects or be a senior team member and apply engineering tools and methods.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain on specs, regulatory requirements, and related processes.
