Job summary

RTX seeks engineers to design and test power electronics for Telemetry and Flight Termination products. The role focuses on robust motor control systems, circuit cards, and mixed-signal electronics, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic defense-focused environment.

Ideal candidates will have STEM degrees, hands-on lab experience, and familiarity with signal conditioning and high/low voltage concepts. The team emphasizes safety, integrity, and innovation in mission-critical applications.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with motor types Brushed, BLDC or PMSM is a plus.
• Proficient with MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica or similar tools.
• Lab experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, frequency generators, power supplies or DAQ systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry.
• Hands on drafting & designing at a circuit card level.
• Help to see circuit card development through its design phases, from requirements through initial integration testing.
• Define schedules for circuit level tasking.
• Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities, with moderate senior engineer support.
