Job summary
Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to design and develop advanced motor control systems for multiple industries. You will serve as the technical lead from order intake through system shipment, applying Power Electronics expertise and SolidWorks tooling.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience in motor control, a strong understanding of motion control theory, and the ability to read schematics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong background in SolidWorks tools and their application in system design.
- Experience with design of motor control and test systems.
- Understanding of motion control theory and algorithms.
- Knowledge of UL and CE standards for industrial control panels.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and component specs.
Responsibilities
- Engineer custom motor control systems for Paper Converting and Metal Processing systems.
- Investigate and employ new components and technologies for use in systems.
- Lead system design reviews and guide CAD designers.
- Program PLCs, HMIs and VFDs for customer applications.
- Provide expert remote and on-site support for commissioning and field issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and certification requirements.
