Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a Senior Control Systems Engineer to own the design, development, validation, and deployment of closed‑loop control algorithms and embedded control software for off‑highway machine systems.

You will guide the technical direction for control strategies, implement via Model‑Based Design, auto code generation, and on‑target calibration, while mentoring engineers across the team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in embedded controls or embedded software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of closed-loop control algorithms and state estimators.
• Develop plant models, perform system identification, and validate strategies via MIL/SIL/HIL.
• Create and verify models in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and generate production code with Embedded Coder.
• Design and optimize embedded control applications in C/C++ for ECUs with HAL and drivers.
• Calibrate controllers on machines and test rigs; analyze test data for stability and performance.
• Translate system requirements into detailed control/software designs; support FMEA and functional-safety analyses.
• Develop and maintain SAE J1939, CAN, and ISO 11783 communication, fault detection, and diagnostics.
• Maintain unit test frameworks and CI-driven regression tests.
• Lead design, model, and code reviews; mentor junior engineers.
