Job summary

Baseten is seeking a Motion Designer to bring our brand to life across product launches, social video, and large-scale campaigns. You will shape the motion language and build a scalable system that extends beyond one-off animations.

You will partner with brand, product, marketing, and leadership to translate technical ideas into clear, distinctive motion, driving high-quality work with ambitious execution and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Maintain a standout motion portfolio demonstrating brand and product storytelling.
• Strong typography, composition, pacing, sound, and narrative craft beyond animation technique.
• Own projects end to end from rough concept through storyboard, design, animation and final production.
• Experience across brand systems, product storytelling, campaigns, and experimental ideas.
• Make judgment calls on when to keep things simple or push for novel visuals.
• Be able to articulate design choices and rationale for motion and brand.
• Comfort with ownership, ambiguity, and delivering high-quality motion at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the motion language for the Baseten brand.
• Create high-craft motion for product launches, social, campaigns, web, events, and out-of-home.
• Concept and produce video content that makes highly technical products compelling.
• Think at all scales from five-second social clips to a Times Square takeover.
• Partner with brand designers to bring identity systems, typography, illustration, and storytelling to life through motion.
• Experiment with new formats, tools, techniques, and emerging tech to push the brand further.
• Build motion systems and principles that scale across the company.
• Collaborate with product and product marketing to make launches feel like moments.
• Raise the bar for motion craft across Baseten’s outputs.
