Job summary

Ocrolus is seeking an experienced mortgage underwriter to QC loan outputs in a remote, fintech-driven environment. You will apply guidelines from Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, and USDA to ensure accurate income calculations and underwriting conditions.

You will review borrower documents (income, assets, credit, AUS findings) and identify errors, applying underwriting rules within the product. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of mortgage underwriting experience, including FHA/VA.
• Ability to review borrower documentation (income, assets, credit, etc.).
• Strong income analysis, credit evaluation, and AUS findings expertise.
• Tech-savvy with strong documentation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• QC mortgage applications with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA guidelines.
• Review borrower documents and ensure correct data extraction and underwriting rules.
• Identify errors and guideline exceptions requiring correction.
• Update outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Meet standards for accuracy, turnaround time, productivity in a real-time environment.
• Provide actionable feedback on recurring errors to UW leadership.
