BMO Financial Group seeks an experienced mortgage underwriter to analyze and adjudicate credit applications in line with lending principles. The role requires deep knowledge of FHA/VA programs, risk assessment, and robust use of underwriting software.

You will manage pipelines, interpret income structures, and provide guidance on implementation of lending solutions while adhering to regulatory standards and internal policies. Team-focused and data-driven, you’ll contribute to risk-aware growth.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mortgage underwriting experience.
• FHA and VA experience in underwriting.
• Experience with web-based approval systems (DU/LP).
• In-depth pipeline management and risk assessment.
• Strong comprehension of complex income structures.
• Knowledge of credit policies and lending principles.
• Proficient with credit application software.
• Strong data-driven decision making.

Responsabilités

• Analyzes new customer credit applications and makes credit decisions.
• Adjudicates credit applications within defined limits or recommends products.
• Completes credit analyses to support lending decisions.
• Provides guidance on implementation of solutions for assigned business groups.
• Keeps up-to-date with policies, regulations, and product offerings.
