Job summary

BMO Financial Group in the United States (Arizona) seeks an experienced mortgage underwriting professional to assess credit applications and render sound lending decisions. You will evaluate income, assets, and collateral within regulatory guidelines, including FHA/VA requirements, while collaborating with internal teams to align with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mortgage underwriting experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of FHA/VA programs and HUD Handbook 4155.1/2.
• Experience with web-based approval systems and pipeline management.
• Ability to analyze complex financials, income structures, and tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes new customer credit applications and makes credit decisions/recommendations.
• Develops solutions based on business strategy and stakeholder needs.
• Provides advice to assigned group on implementation of solutions.
• Supports strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
• Designs and produces reports and dashboards to monitor performance.
