Job summary

Belle Sisters, a fully integrated real estate and mortgage services firm, seeks a Sr. Controller (Mortgage Servicing) to lead accounting, payroll, and AP across the enterprise in a hybrid setup with locations in Tampa, Dallas, or Rosemont.

The role requires 10+ years in senior accounting within mortgage servicing, CPA or equivalent, and deep GAAP and MSR knowledge to ensure timely close and accurate reporting. Collaboration with auditors/regulators is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• 15+ years' progressive experience in accounting.
• 10+ years' experience in a senior accounting role within mortgage servicing for financial services segments, including Controller-level experience.
• Previous experience managing people and leading teams.
• Strong financial reporting, summarization, and communication skills with ability to present complex data to executives.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, investor reporting requirements (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae), and MSR valuation, with audits, controls, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, payroll, and accounts payable for the enterprise and entities; ensure timely month-end close and accurate reporting.
• Serve as primary liaison with external audit firms and regulators; identify opportunities for process optimization.
• Oversee cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany balances, and fraud controls; maintain strong internal controls.
• Manage internal reporting, disbursement reviews, and debt/covenant reporting; support audits.
• Document management's position on current GAAP treatments affecting entities within Fay Group, and drive policy updates and training.
