Job summary

Tway IT Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Controller to lead enterprise accounting, financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable, audit coordination, and internal controls for a leading mortgage and financial services organization.

Responsibilities include overseeing month-end close, MSR accounting, regulatory compliance, and investor reporting, while developing accounting teams and driving process improvements. This is an onsite role with relocation not available.

Qualifications

• 15+ years progressive accounting experience.
• 10+ years mortgage servicing accounting experience.
• Controller-level leadership experience.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Mortgage servicing experience preferred and mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow management.
• Manage external audits, regulatory compliance, and internal controls.
• Oversee MSR accounting, valuation, and mortgage servicing financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and investor reporting requirements.
• Lead and develop accounting teams while driving process improvements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, debt reporting, and lender covenant compliance.

Salary: $171,000 – $225,000 Base + Annual Discretionary Bonus

• Oversee month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash flow management
• Manage external audits, regulatory compliance, and internal controls
• Oversee MSR accounting, valuation, and mortgage servicing financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and investor reporting requirements
• Lead and develop accounting teams while driving process improvements
• Support budgeting, forecasting, debt reporting, and lender covenant compliance

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 10+ years of mortgage servicing accounting experience
• Previous Controller-level leadership experience
• CPA or equivalent professional certification
• Strong expertise in MSR accounting and valuation
• Experience managing accounting teams, audits, and financial controls
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Mortgage servicing experience is mandatory
• Candidates from large mortgage servicing / financial services organizations preferred
• Must be willing to work onsite 3 days per week
