Lake Michigan Credit Union in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Senior Mortgage Processor to manage complex loan applications from origination through closing. You will gather and review documents, coordinate with borrowers, real estate agents, loan originators, underwriters, and title partners to ensure files meet program and agency requirements.

In this hybrid role, you’ll handle conventional, government, bond and down payment assistance loans, review credit and income data, and maintain timely

Qualifications

• Three to five years of mortgage lending or loan processing experience or training.
• Experience with mortgage products including escrow and ARM requirements.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal partners.

Responsibilities

• Review underwriting decisions, obtain additional documentation, and prepare letters.
• Coordinate appraisals and title documents with vendors within timelines.
• Maintain communication with borrowers and internal partners throughout the process.
• Process conventional, government, bond and down-payment assistance loans, including new construction.
• Review credit reports and income/asset documentation for underwriting readiness.
• Prepare completed loan files for submission to the Closing Department.
