Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation seeks an SVP, Operations Unit Manager in the Dallas area to lead a Production Manager unit responsible for pre-purchase review of correspondent residential mortgage loan files. You will ensure documentation completeness, regulatory compliance, and guideline adherence prior to purchase, while driving productivity and quality.

You will manage a team, hire and coach staff, monitor SLAs and pipelines, and present trends and opportunities to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in Mortgage Operations or similar field.
• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Previous leadership experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of residential mortgage industry in Correspondent or Retail Lending; including sales, operations, capital markets and/or other residential mortgage products and services.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Intermediate to advanced experience mortgage software (Encompass).
• Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
• Occasional travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a unit of Production Managers overseeing teams responsible for the pre-purchase review of correspondent residential mortgage loan files to ensure that the file contains all required documentation, meets acceptable regulatory standards, and complies with established guidelines prior to purchase.
• Drive your team to achieve productivity and quality goals.
• Consistently analyze current processes for ways to increase productivity and quality while cutting costs.
• Manage departmental service levels, production and quality standards.
• Monitor SLA, quality, and pipelines, while providing applicable reporting.
• Create and present relevant information for management meetings with peers and superiors.
• Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.
