Job summary

BECU in Idaho is seeking a Sr Mortgage Loan Processor to guide members through conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo financing. You’ll ensure files are processed accurately, in line with TRID and investor requirements, while coordinating with Loan Officers and internal teams.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, timely decisions, and strong communication. Remote-friendly with opportunities to work onsite in Tukwila occasionally; candidates in WA/OR/ID preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or education-related experience.
• Minimum two years of experience as a mortgage loan processor or underwriter or equivalent with an emphasis on conventional, FHA, VA and Jumbo loan products.

Responsibilities

• Protect the integrity of every loan: Ensure compliance with applicable requirements.
• Keep files accurate and complete: Review AUS findings and verify loan data.
• Navigate regulatory requirements: Meet processing requirements for BKI, CO C and Early CD.
• Deliver TRID requirements on time: Complete BKI review and early disclosures.
• Manage commitment timelines: Meet lock expirations or extensions per policy.
• Keep members informed: Communicate with Loan Officers and members about the process.
• Keep documentation moving: Follow up for outstanding documentation within turnaround times.
• Communicate decisions clearly: Provide final evaluation and underwriting decisions promptly.
• Apply sound underwriting judgment: Verify income/assets and review credit reports.
• Keep the pipeline on track: Update closing dates and related milestones.
• Collaborate on solutions: Work with team to resolve processing challenges.
• Bring flexibility to the role: Perform additional duties as needed.
