Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4–6 years mortgage lending or similar financial experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: No specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and inputs incoming documents into LOS (e.g., VOE, VOD, credit).
• Verifies application data completeness and conformity to standards (mortgage type, assets, liabilities, employment).
• Reruns Automated Underwriting System to confirm consistent decisions.
• Recommends denial if standards are not met.
• Orders property abstracts, surveys, and appraisals as needed.
• Determines if appraisal should be ordered and type.
• Reviews appraisal for errors and informs lender of discrepancies.
• Notates closing date and transaction type.
• Gathers documentation and resubmits for approval.
