Job summary

Hancock Whitney is looking for an experienced Mortgage Loan Processor to verify documents and support underwriting for loan packages. You will review application data for completeness and accuracy, re-run AUS, and coordinate orders for appraisals and surveys when needed.

You will assemble loan files, note closing dates, and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate teams to ensure timely approvals and closings. Prior mortgage lending experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED and 4–6 years related experience or equivalent
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 4–6 years related experience
• Experience in mortgage lending or similar financial field preferred

Responsibilities

• Verify documents and accuracy in LO operations
• Review loan application to ensure completeness and standards
• Re-run AUS to confirm automated decision applicability
• Order property abstracts, surveys, or appraisals as needed
• Assemble file in imaging system and ensure completeness
• Communicate discrepancies to appropriate party
• Close collaboration with underwriting to finalize decisions
