Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union in North Carolina seeks an Escrow Operations Lead to oversee end-to-end accuracy and regulatory compliance of mortgage escrow accounts across the real estate portfolio. You will supervise tracking, recalculation, and timely disbursement of property taxes, homeowners’ insurance, and flood coverage.

You will serve as the escalation point for complex escrow discrepancies, collaborate with loan servicing, compliance, and accounting teams, and perform annual escrow

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting or related field.
• 2+ years Loan Servicing and/or Escrow experience.
• Understanding of RESPA guidelines and escrow account mechanics.
• Strong mathematical, ledger balancing and auditing skills.
• Proficiency with mortgage servicing software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily escrow operations to ensure accurate tracking and timely disbursement of property taxes, homeowners’ insurance, and flood insurance.
• Participates in regular QA audits of escrow accounts and workflow queues to identify discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Acts as escalation point for complex escrow discrepancies; coordinates with Loan Servicing, Compliance, and Accounting to resolve high-priority issues.
• Performs annual escrow analyses and recalculations per RESPA; communicates changes to members clearly.
• Supports member inquiries and drafts notices related to escrow statements and adjustments.
• Supports compliance, reporting and audit activities with documentation and data as needed.
