Job summary

NBH Bank in Utah is seeking an experienced Mortgage Banker I to originate first mortgage loans and build referral partnerships within our Banking Center network.

You will manage a book of business, align mortgage priorities with client experience, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborate with internal teams to expand NBH's presence while delivering exceptional service to clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Business, Finance or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in mortgage banking.
• Advanced knowledge of RESPA/government regulations for residential mortgages.
• Knowledge and experience operating within Dodd-Frank regulations.
• Proven track record of success in the mortgage lending industry.
• Must be registered and licensed in NMLS as required by the S.A.F.E. Act.
• Ongoing compliance with mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH policies.

Responsibilities

• Originate 60 units of first mortgage loan products annually from various sources.
• Develop referral partner relationships with NBH Banking Center Associates.
• Align mortgage priorities with the Client Experience and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor marketplace competition and trends to adapt sales strategy.
• Build a book of business through prospecting while servicing Banking Center clients.
