Job summary

Bank of America seeks an Experienced MongoDB Database Administrator for its Jersey City team. You will design, implement, and manage scalable MongoDB environments, including sharded clusters and replica sets, with focus on high availability and performance.

Responsibilities include mentoring, translating business needs into infrastructure, and maintaining monitoring, backups, and security. On-call and scheduling duties apply in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of job related experience required.
• Experience in MongoDB (Primary).
• Sharding, Replication, OPS manager, Clustering, Data Modeling.
• Performance: Query Optimization, Indexing, Capacity Planning, Tuning.
• Automation: Python, Shell Scripting (Bash).
• Experience in Linux/Unix.
• Experience in Cloud: MongoDB Atlas on AWS, Azure, & GCP
• Backup & Recovery, Security, High Availability Architecture
• Financial industry experience desired.
• Knowledge of Jira.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills requests from business users and operations, communicates technical status updates with appropriate teams, and oversees stability, resiliency, reliability, and the performance of multiple supported systems
• Mentors other team members and provides technical leadership
• Captures and translates business requirements into complex infrastructure and/or system design
• Supports change implementations, proactively identifies and resolves potential issues
• Provides consulting services to CTI and technical partners, executes procedures reliably
• Provides release support when needed and manages engagement across audiences
• Provides full lifecycle management of the infrastructure and application environments
• Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks and assignments for the team
• Provides point of escalation for team members and triage for incidents
• Works with teams to ensure alerts, monitoring, dashboards for new projects
