True North Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced Mold Tooling Engineering Manager in Stoughton, MA, to lead our engineering team focused on medical cable assemblies and connector components.

You will oversee injection-mold tooling, drive DFM reviews, and collaborate with internal and external shops to deliver manufacturable, cost-efficient designs. The role demands 10+ years in mold design or tooling within regulated medical environments, proficiency in SolidWorks, and strong cross‑functional

Qualifications

• 10+ years in mold design, tooling, or toolmaking.
• Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal tool shop; coordinate toolmakers and mold design engineers.
• Conduct DFM reviews to optimize product designs.
• Design and evaluate injection molds for medical connector components and cabling.
• Develop tooling concepts: gating, venting, cooling, surface finishes.
• Collaborate with product engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
• Coordinate with external mold shops domestically and offshore.
• Resolve tooling issues and implement design updates as needed.
