Blue Origin is seeking a Principal Modem PHY IP Design Engineer to design and validate modem PHY IP for the Terawave program, contributing to architecture, modeling, and hardware implementation for high-performance wireless ASIC solutions.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration with systems, ASIC, RF, verification, FPGA, firmware, and validation teams to translate requirements into efficient PHY blocks and provide robust performance analysis and calibration support.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in wireless communications or ASIC/FPGA-based baseband development.
• Strong background in digital communications theory and modem implementation.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and C/C++ for modeling and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop modem PHY IP for Terawave ASIC and prototyping platforms.
• Translate system requirements into PHY block specifications and models.
• Collaborate with RTL, verification, and FPGA teams to optimize performance.
